The Lodge is very centrally situated in Dullstroom, within strolling distance of shops, restaurants and other attractions along the main road. However, guests are often content to remain on the property. The picturesque dam, stocked with rainbow and brown trout, is also home to a variety of water birds, as well as the resident duck tribe, who lend a rural and comforting aspect to this beautiful venue. For hotter days, the small pool is a welcome relief for guests to plunge into, or dip their toes on the way to or from their suites.
The Lakeside Superior Suites are all lake facing, with a small stoep furnished with table and chairs for 2, ideal for a quiet early morning cup of coffee, or late afternoon glass of wine, while watching the sun set across the dam, mellowing the rock clad buildings to a gentle gold and red, followed by fairy lights illuminating the gardens as night comes in. Fireplaces in the Suites are welcome most nights of the year in Dullstroom, adding to the warm and romantic atmosphere of these cosy rooms.
